“From Our Practice To Yours”
September 27th - 29th, 2011
Wet-Lab Presentations
Pre-Registration
Ends September 1st, 2011
Wet-Lab Only Registration
Form
If you
find that the hands-on nature of wet-labs satisfies your continuing
education needs better than general scientific presentations or if your
practice schedule perhaps limits your attendance availability this year, we
invite you to explore our Wet-Lab only registration package. Because the
wet-lab spaces are limited, we encourage participants to register early, as
we expect these spaces to fill quickly!
On
Tuesday, September 27 an amazingly intimate hands-on opportunity will
explore advanced diagnostic analgesic techniques. The entire day will be
devoted to this wet-lab, which will provide attendees 8 continuing education
credits. A select panel of specialists will be providing demonstration and
guidance in many of the less-commonly used diagnostic and therapeutic
injection techniques, including the shoulder joint, navicular bursa, and
cervical facets, just to name a few. Cadaver specimens and ultrasound
machines will be provided for this laboratory; however participants are free
to bring their own ultrasound machine for a more personalized wet-lab
experience. Special wet-lab rates are available to those choosing to attend
the Tuesday wet-lab – registration for Tuesday entitles you to a discount on
any wet-lab you may choose to attend on Wednesday
- please contact the NEAEP office for more information.
Wednesday,
September 28 provides two wet-lab opportunities that will complement our
Lameness and Sport Medicine program and the Internal Medicine program. The
wet-lab focusing on lameness will provide instruction on specific ultrasound
techniques throughout the musculoskeletal system. Ultrasound machines will
be graciously provided by our wet-lab sponsor, or attendees may feel free to
utilize their own equipment to enhance the practical nature of this
opportunity. This wet-lab will be split into 4 stations running throughout
the day and will provide 8 continuing education credits. An in-depth wet-lab will be offered for those looking for
additional experience in internal medicine subjects: This laboratory will explore the adult equine abdomen by ultrasound,
and will provide 4 continuing
education credits.
As the
veterinary scientific program begins on Thursday, September 29, we are
pleased to present a multi-station farrier clinic available to farriers
specifically registering for the clinic and to veterinarians who may choose
to attend this clinic rather than the scientific sessions running
concurrently. There will be six separate stations available during this
clinic. Techniques will be demonstrated for glue-on shoes, specific
shoe-making, sport horse shoeing, welding techniques, applying extensions,
and anatomy. Attendees will be required to choose four of the stations at
which to participate and can receive 8 continuing education credits for this
wet-lab.
Please be
certain to look carefully through our registration page to take advantage of
these amazing hands-on personalized experiences!
