Website Resources
The NEAEP strives to provide helpful resources to its members. A
section of the website has been designated for members where files of past
Symposium Proceedings, past issues of The Clinician Magazine, and informational
videos can be downloaded. Beginning with the 2011 Symposium, videos of the
lectures will has been archived and available to all members at any time. As
the NEAEP continues to develop the content posted on this website, we welcome
requests and suggestions for topics that would be most helpful to our members.
Members can access this area of the website by clicking on
MEMBER LOGIN in
the main menu of the NEAEP homepage at
www.neaep.net. Creating an account consists of creating a username and
password. Confirmation of the account by the NEAEP is then emailed back so that
the member can login and have access to the educational information posted
there.
Second
Opinion Service
From time to time, every veterinarian or farrier seeks advice
from other practitioners regarding a difficult case. The NEAEP wants to
facilitate this kind of cooperation amongst practitioners by providing a forum
where it can take place. Veterinarians and farriers confronted by challenging
cases can contact the NEAEP office (info@neaep.net
or 1-877-355-9994) to get instructions on how to post case histories, photos,
and videos. (Veterinary cases will be reviewed by veterinarians, farrier cases
will be reviewed by farriers) Members will be able to review cases and have
their responses forwarded to the primary practitioner through the NEAEP.
Vistas
Externship Program
The NEAEP Vistas Externship program is designed to facilitate the
development of a contact list for veterinary students and aspiring farriers
seeking experience with small ambulatory general practitioners and farriers in
the northeast. Participating veterinarians and farriers are dedicated to sharing
their knowledge and experience with the students that represent the future of
our industry. This is one way that individual practitioners can positively
contribute to the equine community. The NEAEP is looking for veterinarians and
farriers who would be interested in participating in this exciting new program.
Please contact the NEAEP office (info@neaep.net
or 1-877-355-9994) for more information.
